Policy

Operating in a responsible and sustainable manner is important to Network International. Whilst we run our business in line with the expectations of diverse regional and international stakeholders, we also see corporate responsibility as a discipline that helps us to manage risks and maximize on the opportunities presented to us in a changing world.

Our CSR philosophy is to integrate environmental, social and governance practices into our day-to-day business activities. We measure our success not only in terms of financial criteria, but also in building customer satisfaction and employee engagement, and supporting the communities we serve. This way of thinking is evident in Network International’s balanced scorecard approach to management, which integrates CSR elements into our strategic planning and performance evaluation processes.

Network International focuses its CSR activities
in the following key impact areas:

WORKPLACE:

Our ability to deliver world-class products and services is dependent on a talented, engaged workforce. To this end, we are focused on making Network International a place where people feel supported, can develop their skills, and have a clear understanding of our business objectives. We are committed to ensuring that our entire business is conducted according to rigorous professional, ethical and legal standards.

HEALTH & SAFETY:

Network International strives to maintain, a clean, healthy and safe working environment. Providing a workplace where our employees feel safe is not only a legal obligation, but a fundamental factor in building their engagement with the company. Through management intervention, awareness campaigns and a culture that encourages employees to raise concerns about the workplace safety, we aim to reduce the frequency of accidents.

MARKETPLACE:

Customers Our overarching focus is on delivering value to our customers. Everything we do is geared to providing world-class products/services, and the best possible customer experience. We have a passion for excellence and we take pride in our ability to achieve customer satisfaction by thoroughly understanding our clients’ needs and building partnerships.
Our contracts with customers clearly set out the agreed terms, conditions and the basis of our relationship. We operate in a way that safeguards against unfair business practices.

Supply chains We aim to work actively with our suppliers who commit to our values, especially in reference to fair employment and good environmental practice. We recognize the importance of the supply chain and we are committed to developing secure relationships based on mutual trust for mutual benefit.

COMMUNICATION:

We communicate our CSR activities externally through our website and internally through emails, newsletters and team briefings. This raises a sense of awareness in the company as well as acting as a prompt for staff to get involved in some of the programmes.

COMMUNITY:

Network International is committed to making a sustainable positive impact on the communities in which we operate. We aim to make a distinctive contribution to social development through the establishment of effective partnerships and programmes that make the best use of the skills and philanthropic attitude of our employees. We have adopted a two-pronged approach wherein we optimally utilize our annual CSR budget for community development initiatives such as supporting talented Emirati artists, promoting art created by children with disabilities and supporting programmes that benefit cancer patients or children with special needs. On the other hand we also support our employees who wish to take part in voluntary activities that benefit the society.

ENVIRONMENT:

Effective resource management and energy efficiency are Network International’s major environmental CSR goals currently. This leads to opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation, and can even influence overall brand strength through positive environmental reputation.
In line with this, we conduct our operations in a way which minimises our consumption of natural resources and manage waste through responsible disposal and the re-use and recycling of materials where economically feasible. Moreover, where possible, we use recycled or environmentally friendly paper in our printers; we invite staff to reduce unnecessary paper usage –including double-sided printing, and photo-reduction, wherever appropriate.

RESPONSIBILITY & ACCOUNTABILITY:

Our Chief Executive Officer assumes ultimate accountability for Corporate Social Responsibility, with oversight provided by the CSR Committee. This committee is composed of members from various Human Resources teams across different locations within Network International.
